Ringo Starr joined The Beatles in August 1962, replacing Pete Best to complete the classic lineup as the group solidified in Liverpool and Hamburg. His comedic timing stood out when performing with the band in films like A Hard Day's Night (1964) and Help! (1965), his affable personality made him a natural focus for audience affection, often rivalling the others in popularity polls. By the time The Beatles disbanded in 1970, Starr had contributed to some of the most influential recordings in modern music history, leaving behind a legacy defined by feel, restraint and understated creativity rather than virtuoso showmanship.
